National Prayer Movement
Goal
Pray salvation for the families as you drive along the streets in communities and cities in North America. Prayer is a silent weapon that can change nations. God is the Creator of the Universe. Nothing is impossible for Him. No situation is hopeless. It’s so exciting driving along and praying. We don’t know what is happening in people’s lives but God does. Some of these people may have never been prayed for. Prayer can change their circumstances. Prayer can make a difference where they may spend eternity. Prayer is the most beautiful gift we can give to anyone.
Prayer Drive – October 14, 2023
Prayer Drive is on Saturday, October 14. Map out a prayer area in your neighbourhood - an area that will take you about an hour to drive as you pray for the families living in the homes.
Our next Prayer Drive will be in September.
“We can be confident that God will listen to us whenever we ask Him for anything in line with His will.” 1 John 5:14 NLT
“The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and wonderful results. Elijah was as human as we are, and yet when he prayed earnestly that no rain would fall, none fell for the next 3½ years. Then he prayed for rain, and down it poured. The grass turned green, and the crops began to grow again.” James 5:16b,17,18 NLT
Instructions
Map out a prayer area in your neighbourhood for your prayer drive on Saturday, June 24. Suggestion – choose an area that will take you an hour to drive. Take a copy of Heart Preparation and Suggested Scriptures and Prayers with you. Then drive slowly along the streets praying for the families. Best to have at least two in the car. We pray in faith. You may hear of answers to prayers here on earth but eternity will reveal ALL the answers. Awesome!
Please give us feedback of your experiences during the prayer drives either by email whyencounter@mts.net or telephone 204-788-4883.
Heart Preparation & Prayer Suggestions
Heart Preparation and Praising God
Psalm 139:23 (TLB) “Search me, O God, and know my heart; test my thoughts. Point out anything you find in me that makes you sad, and lead me along the path of everlasting life.”
Take a few minutes as each of you silently prepares your heart for the prayers.
Jeremiah 32:17 (TLB) “O Lord God! You have made the heavens and earth by your great power; nothing is too hard for you!”
Exodus 15:11 (TLB) “Who else is like the Lord among the gods? Who is glorious in holiness like him? Who is so awesome in splendor, a wonder-working God?”
2 Chronicles 20:6 (TLB) “O Lord God of our fathers—the only God in all the heavens, the ruler of all the kingdoms of the earth—you are so powerful, so mighty. Who can stand against you?”
We join in with the Living Beings who are saying Revelation 4:8 (TLB) “Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty – the one who was and is and is to come.”
Revelation 4:11 (TLB) “O Lord, you are worthy to receive the glory and the honor and the power, for you have created all things. They were created and called into being by your act of will.”
Ephesians 3:12 (TLB) “Now we can come fearlessly right into God’s presence, assured of his glad welcome when we come with Christ and trust in him.”
1 John 5:14,15 (TLB) “And we are sure of this, that he will listen to us whenever we ask him for anything in line with his will. And if we really know he is listening when we talk to him and make our requests, then we can be sure that he will answer us.”
Paul was willing to tell the church at Rome of his great longing to see the salvation of the lost. Pray that God would give you a great burden for souls. "Brothers, my heart's desire and prayer to God for them is that they may be saved" (Romans 10:1).
Pray with confidence as we boldly approach the throne. God expects we will pray. God invites us to pray. God commands us to pray. Why? Because God loves to hear us pray and God loves to respond to our prayers. So as you pray for unbelievers, pray with confidence that God hears your prayers. "The prayer of a righteous person has great power and wonderful results." (James 5:16).

Suggested Scriptures and Prayers
John 3:16 ESV "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life."
Heavenly Father, you have shown us your love and we ask that you would show these families your love. We pray that the people inside these homes would feel your love and know that you love them and that they would accept Jesus.
2 Corinthians 5:17 ESV "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come."
Father, help these people know that whatever shame they have can be taken away forever, that you can make them into a new creation, they do not need to live in their old patterns, but have new life.
Jeremiah 29:13 ESV "You will seek Me and find Me, when you seek Me with all your heart."
We pray that these families will seek God whole-heartedly and find Him.
Amos 5:4 ESV "For thus says the Lord to the house of Israel: Seek Me and live!"
Help these people to realize their home in Heaven is awaiting them. If they seek God they will live eternally in Heaven!
1 Peter 2:24 ESV "He, Himself bore our sins in His body on the tree (the cross), that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By His wounds you have been healed."
Lord, we want to pray for signs, wonders and miracles in the name of Jesus as we pray for these homes, for the afflicted and broken.
Acts 16:14 ESV "The Lord opened Lydia’s heart to pay attention to what was said by Paul."
Heavenly Father, we pray you would open their hearts to believe the Gospel and that they will respond. Open their hearts so they can turn and believe just as Lydia did.
Romans 6:17 ESV "But thanks be to God, that you who were once slaves of sin have become obedient from the heart to the standard of teaching to which you were committed."
We pray Lord that you will free them from the slavery of sin. They may believe they are free, but they are in fact enslaved. They are slaves of sin, bound by their sin and sinfulness. Lord, would you liberate them by your Gospel.
2 Timothy 2:25-26 ESV "God may perhaps grant them repentance leading to a knowledge of the truth, and they may come to their senses and escape from the snare of the devil, after being captured by him to do his will."
Heavenly Father, grant them repentance. Unbelievers cannot repent without your enabling grace. Grant them your repentance so that this would lead them to the knowledge of your truth. We pray they would come to their senses and that they would escape from the devil's snare.
2 Corinthians 4:4 ESV "In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God." Lord, we pray that you would remove Satan's blinding influence. Unbelievers have been blinded by Satan and will only ever be able to see and appreciate your Gospel if you work within them. So we pray that you would give them spiritual sight.
John 3:36 ESV "Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.”
Oh Lord, help these people as we pray for them to know the truth of your Son, help them to see there is no other way to be saved. Please send your Holy Spirit upon these homes to draw them to the truth of who you are and of Jesus Christ.
Heavenly Father, we know that you work all things for good for those that love you. For those who do not know you, may your love be poured into their hearts and ignite a flame. Use circumstances of these people's lives to help them see their need for you and bring them to the very end of themselves. Therefore, God please arrange circumstances to lead them to salvation. "Before I was afflicted I went astray, but now I keep your word" (Psalm 119:67). "Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven." (Matthew 6:10)
O Lord our God, we trust you to extend your great mercy to these homes and the inhabitants. We know that you desire that all would be saved and none would be lost (2 Peter 3:9). We pray that your gift of salvation would reach into these homes and hearts, and cause them to place their faith in you.
Ephesians 2:14 ESV "For He, Himself is our peace, who has made us both one and has broken down in His flesh the dividing wall of hostility."
Father, help the people in these homes to hear your voice to know your truth and love for them, that they would feel your spirit of peace and love.
Romans 3:23 ESV "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."
God, help these people in these homes to know that everyone has sinned and they are not alone. Help them realize their need for salvation and forgiveness of their sins."
Ephesians 1:4-5 ESV "Even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. In love he predestined us for adoption as sons and daughters through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will."
Heavenly Father, you have chosen that all would be saved and none would be lost, we are praying for a harvest of these homes and the people living within them to become your children and adopted into your large loving family.
2 Timothy 1:9 ESV "Who saved us and called us to a holy calling, not because of our works but because of his own purpose and grace, which he gave us in Christ Jesus before the ages began."
Jesus, we pray you would reveal yourself to the people living in these homes that your grace would work in them as you reveal yourself to them.
John 5:24 ESV "Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life."
Father God, let the truth of your word move into these homes, may they know your words spoken in love to them, draw them to yourself.
